Some changes could be made to these builds(someone needs to have imp. hunters mark for example), but i think they are pretty good. The specc mostly prefered is by far the BM specc.

DPS

First of all a steady/auto rotation that doesn't delay your auto shots is important for your dps.
So i will suggest that you get an cast bar that shows the auto shot timer, then its easier to time the steady shots in between the auto shots.

OR

Use the steady/auto macro, most hunters probaly use this already:

/script UIErrorsFrame:Hide()
/castsequence reset=3 Steady Shot, Auto Shot
/cast [exists,target=pettarget] Kill Command
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear(); UIErrorsFrame:Show()

This macro times your steady/auto shots automaticly and also use kill command whenever its up.

I mostly use auto/steady, but in a MM or surv build you should also put arcane/multi into your rotation - something like this: Auto-steady-arcane-auto-steady-multi-auto-steady-auto and so on.


Other stuff that can improve your dps :

HIT RATING: Maybe you have to low hit rating?
Hit rating cap for hunters is 9% or 142 hit rating, so you should try get as close to this as possible with your gear.

Get revered CE head enchant, exalted aldor/scryer shoulder enchant,
+15 agi enchant on gloves, cobrahide leg armor, 12 agi on cloak, 6 all stats on armor, 24 ap or +4 stats on bracers, 12 agi on boots, +35 agi or savagery on weapon, best scope and fill all sockets with the best gems.

If you have mana problems use fel mana potions instead of the regular ones and use mana oil.
